Royalty-Free & Copyright
1.
Can I use your music in my videos?
Of course, you can use our music in your video for free, but without the possibility of monetization on YouTube. You may receive a copyright claim on your YouTube video, but hold on, you don’t have to worry about anything, your video is all good, it will not get deleted. It is still all yours and you are still in charge, that will stay that way. If you want to monetize your YouTube video, then we recommend to purchase a license and then uploaded in your Creator Studio to the video that you need it for on YouTube.
2. What is a royalty free license?
Royalty-Free license simplifies music licensing by removing the need to negotiate licensing fees and gives you the right to use copyrighted music without the need to pay royalties for recurring use (that is, for each time the music is “publicly performed” to the listener). Let’s get a bit more in depth:
2.1 What are “Royalties” and what is a Royalty-Free License?:
- A royalty is a payment made to the owner of a copyrighted work for the use of that work. In the context of music, it’s a fee paid to the composer, songwriter, or other rights holders.
- A royalty-free license means that the user (you, in this case) is granted permission to use the music without the need to pay ongoing royalties each time the music is used.
So in summery, with a royalty-free license, you don’t have to pay additional royalties each time the music is publicly performed or used. The initial fee or terms of the license cover all such uses.
